You know what, I'm just getting annoyed looking at the protagonist (including in the manga) for some reason. Anyway, besides the annoying look of our hero, the episode was pretty much a filler. It basically explained what is Accel World is all about and more secrets. At the rate the series is going, it's somewhat strictly following the manga itself.
